Questions

FAQs

Do you work across all of New Jersey, or only South Jersey?

All of it. We provide custom software development across New Jersey from our office in Marlton. South Jersey clients in Cherry Hill, Mount Laurel and Moorestown often want us on site, and we're happy to come. For Central and North Jersey, from Princeton to Newark, we usually work by video and visit when a project needs it. Either way you're dealing with the same people in the same time zone.

How much does custom software cost?

Costs are driven by scope, complexity and integrations, so we quote each project individually after the consultation. As a guide, business websites typically start in the low five figures, eCommerce stores from the mid five figures, and custom applications vary widely with the number of user roles, workflows and integrations. Well-defined projects are quoted at a fixed price with milestone payments; ongoing development and projects whose requirements will evolve are billed hourly or monthly. Every proposal breaks the cost down by phase so you can see where the budget goes, and the first consultation is free.

How long does a project take?

It depends on scope. We usually deliver a content-managed business website in two to three weeks, an eCommerce store in four to five weeks, and a custom web or mobile application in four to six weeks. We give a specific timeline in every proposal and report progress against it weekly. After discovery and design, development runs in sprints of one to two weeks, each ending with a demo on a staging environment you can test, so you see working software early and can adjust priorities as the project progresses.

Can you take over software that someone else built?

Yes. A large share of our work starts with someone else's code. We begin with a code and infrastructure review, document what we find, stabilise anything urgent and then plan improvements in priority order. You do not have to rebuild from scratch to get reliable support. We work in the stacks most business systems are built on, including .NET, PHP, Java, Python, WordPress, nopCommerce and Magento, and once we have taken over, you call people who already know your setup when something needs fixing.

Who owns the code when the project is done?

You do. On final payment, all custom code, designs and documentation produced for your project are assigned to you. Third-party libraries and platforms remain under their own licences, which we identify in the proposal. If we host the application, it runs on Azure, AWS or a managed host under your account, so you also keep ownership of the hosting accounts and data. That leaves the choice of what happens after launch with you: keep working with us, bring development in-house, or hand the code to another team.

Do you work with New Jersey state and local government?

We can. Public bodies need the same things we build for businesses: accessible Drupal and WordPress websites, citizen-facing portals, SQL Server databases and integrations between systems that do not talk to each other. We also built Certified Payroll Management, a platform that tracks worker hours and fringe rates and produces compliance-ready reports for state departments, so we understand the reporting side of public work. Tell us how your agency procures, whether by quote or RFP, and we will respond in that format from our office in Marlton.
